POLICIES HIGHLIGHTS
The policies page can be a long read, so here's some important highlights:
- We are a bible-based organization.
- Classes available for all ages, but you must have a child in at least 1st grade or above to apply.
- We are not a drop-off program. A parent/adult stays on-site during co-op hours and volunteers as a teacher, helper or "floater" (helps wherever is needed)
- We ask parents to be willing to teach a class, but you may not always be placed as a teacher. Don't panic if you don't know what you can teach. We'll work with you to discover how you can best help.
- Absences/tardies affect the entire co-op, so please make every effort to attend class days.
- Payment/Fees: $50 membership fee, $5 per student fee. Payable within two weeks of approval date or before registering for classes (whichever comes first). Other fees: Some classes charge a supply fee which is due by orientation.
Ready to apply?
Hold on.... you're not quite there yet. Here's some things to know for application:
- There are 4 forms. You will be asked for a class idea that you're willing to teach. If you don't have an idea and/or are uncertain about teaching -- it's okay! You can still apply. We'll talk to you later about teaching or other areas you can best help.
- Use preferred names on the 1st page of application. It's the page that asks for your name and names of kids. The name you give us is what we'll put on nametags. (For remaining application pages, use legal name)
- Select grade for semester you're applying for. Example: If child is in kindergarten, but will be in 1st grade when semester starts, then select 1st grade.
- Age/Grades: You are the parent and know your child best. Select the grade that is best fit for your child. Example: By age, your child would be 2nd grade, but they're doing 3rd grade level work at home. You can enroll in 3rd grade.
For our youngest students, we have the following firm age guidelines:
- Kinder: Age 5 by 10/1
- PreK: Age 4 by 10/1
- Preschool: Potty trained 3 year olds
- Nursery: Age 0-2 and preschool age not potty trained.
YOU'RE READY TO GO!!
The application takes about 10 minutes to complete.
If you're unable to finish it, there should be a save/resume option.
